Crafty Calendar April Challenge - All Dressed Up Wellie Boots Birthday Card

Good morning, I hope you are well and had a good Easter and haven't eaten too many Easter eggs.   It's the first Saturday of the month and we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar.

The theme this week is Dry/Wet Embossed

For my card I have included both wet and dry embossing.

The image is Wellie Boots from All Dressed Up coloured with copics.
The background is blended with distress oxides inks and then embossed with the Spellbinders Scattered Fall embossing folder.
I did swipe a white ink pad over the raised part of the embossing just to try and make it a slightly lighter shade.
The happy birthday sentiment has been heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Crafty Calendar February Challenge - Add a heart Valentine Card

Good morning I hope you are well.  I'm a bit under the weather, I am suffering from a cold at the moment, Martyn was ill first and I thought I had dodged it but no it's arrived.

It's the first Saturday in February and we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar.
Love is in the air and the theme this week is
'ADD A HEART'

For my card I have used
Bob from Sheepski Designs coloured with copics,
It's a bit difficult to tell but the white background has embossed hearts on which was embossed using a heart stencil.
The pink & red background is ink blended using Distress Oxides in Kitsch Flamingo and Lumberjack Plaid.
I decided to add a heart aperture and made a shaker card filled with little heart embellishments from the heart sprinklets set by Buttons Galore.

Pickles Balloon from Polkadoodles.  This is a pre-coloured image.
The background is inked with distress oxides.

Bold Tidings Joy to the World Snowman Christmas Card

Good morning, I hope you are keeping safe and well.  Here in the UK today snow has arrived.  In my family they joke that I only have to look at ice and snow and I fall over and true to form I slipped over on the ice yesterday so today I'm nursing a grazed knee and a few aches and pains but luckily nothing major.

I have been doing bit of batch card making so I have four cards to share today with the same design only different colours

For these cards I have used:
  • Tim Holtz Bold Tidings #2 by Stampers Anonymous CMS419 stamped on black card and heat embossed in white.  I masked out the O from joy and replaced it with the snowman from the My Favorite Things Christmas Cuteness stamp set
  • The backgrounds are ink blended using Distress Oxides and then I have stamped snowflakes on it which were then heat embossed in silver.

Stampers Anonymous Snow Globe Christmas Cards

Good morning to you and happy December.  I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today.  I love snow globe stamps and dies and todays card uses one of my favourites which is from a stamp set by Stampers Anonymous.

There are two cards using the two different snow globe designs from the stamp set in slightly different shades of blue and one of the backgrounds is using distress snowfall texture paste through a stencil and the other using distress sparkle texture paste....can you tell the difference?

For this card I have used:
  • Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous CMS472 Festive Print stamp set stamped with Distress Archival Ink and then over stamped with versamark ink, heat embossed with Ranger sticky embossing powder and then covered with rock candy glitter.
  • The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the same stamp set and heat embossed in white.
  • The backgrounds are Grey Distressed Woodgrain cardstock.  One of them has been stencilled with Distress Snowflake Texture Paste and the other with Distress Sparkle Texture Paste and then coloured with a combination of distress mica spays and distress inks.  One of the pastes holds the ink colour and the other you can lift the ink from it with a damp kitchen roll.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.  I'll be back tomorrow with a card for our new challenge over at Crafty Calendar
